Asparagus racemosus (Indian Asparagus) Shatavari:
It is a rejuvenating herb that cools the body, strengthens and nourishes the tissues. It balances Vata and Pitta and support proper function of the reproductive organs. It is traditionally used to regulate the production of female hormones, Shatavari may be translated as "having 100 spouses," implying its ability to increase fertility and vitality. Asparagus serves to build immunity, stimulate digestion, and enhances strength and energy.
Shatavari is highly recommended for menopause because it is a natural source of phytoestrogen and progesterone which ensure smooth menopause. Shatavari has the general ability to promote normal physical functions and counteract the adverse effects of stress. In eight different stress tests, Shatavari produced significant anti-stress and immuno-stimulant effects. It has demulcent property that makes it helpful for dryness during menopause. It also has a calming effect and can be used for sleeplessness and a cooling effect which is beneficial for hot flushes.
Dioscorea bulbifera (Wild Yam) Varahikand:
The pharmacologically active components of the Dioscorea species include diosgenin and dioscin. Some studies indicate that diosgenin functions as a plant estrogen, and fresh yams have been used as estrogen replacement therapy. Plant estrogens, or phytoestrogen (PEs), are naturally occurring plant compounds that are similar to mammalian estrogen. Dietary PEs can provide a wide range of health benefits, including protection from the development of some cancers, cardiovascular disease, osteoporosis, and menopausal symptoms. Fresh yams have been used as an estrogen replacement therapy and studies suggest that diosgenin could protect against osteoporosis. It also helps in regaining the sexual urge.
Hemidesmus indicus (Indian Sarsaparilla) Anantmoola:
It is one of the best blood purifier and Pitta pacifying herb. It reduces the symptoms like hot flushes, night sweats and skin problems during menopause. Zingiber officinale (Dry Ginger) Sonth:

Santalum album (White Sandalwood) Safed Chandan:
