The liver is a unique organ with many functions crucial to sustaining life. Liver performs approximately 500 functions in the body. Liver is the largest gland and main site of metabolism that works round the clock to keep us healthy. It metabolizes carbohydrates, protein and fat from food into substances needed for life and growth. All the nutrients pass through liver and are processed there after their digestion and absorption in intestine. It secretes the enzymes and bile that help to digest food. In addition, the liver neutralizes harmful toxins and wastes, so it is at great risk of contamination from environmental toxins and those contained in over-processed foods.

Livobliss tablet is a well balanced formula for optimum liver health. It is a combination of highly effective liver protective herbs. It balances Ranjaka Pitta which regulates the functioning of liver, spleen, pancreas and regulates blood metabolism.  Livobliss stimulates sluggish liver and gallbladder and promotes bile flow. It detoxifies as well as rejuvenates liver and thereby enhances the regenerative ability of the damaged liver tissue. It checks the ongoing inflammatory process in the liver and hinders the replication of liver damaging viruses by altering cell-to-cell transmissions. It also destroys the communication mechanism of viruses and prevents their transmission to other cells. In addition, it enhances appetite, digestion and overall metabolism. Recommended Dosage: Take 1 tablet of Livobliss 2 times a day after meals with warm water.

Suggested Duration: For best results, it should be used for 3-6 months. For Liver Detox, take 1 tablet 2 times a day for 1 month twice a year.

Dietary Advice: Eat fresh fruits and vegetables. Take low fat and high fiber diet. Avoid fried food, French fries and fast food, canned & frozen food and processed meat & cheese.

Gentiana kurroo (Indian Gentian) Katuki:

Katuki is used to protect and support the liver by improving the functioning of Ranjaka Pitta. It promotes bile secretion, detoxifies liver and blood and improves all liver function. It has potent antiviral, antibacterial and antipyretic action. It improves digestion and appetite. Its active principle is kutkin and apocynin. Kutkin is a stable mixed crystal of two C-9 iridoid glycosides-Picroside I and Kutakosid. Kutkin alters the structure of the cell membrane of hepatocytes to prevent penetration of the toxin inside liver cells. Kutkin stimulates the action of nucleolar polymerase A, resulting in ribosomal protein synthesis, and thus stimulates the regenerative ability of the liver and formation of new hepatocytes.  Apocynin has been found to exhibit powerful anti-inflammatory effects.

Swertia chirata (Chireta) Chiraita:

Chireta is a bitter digestive tonic that normalizes high temperature and is a potent antimalarial and antihelminthic. It is the main ingredient of Sudarshan Churna, an ancient Ayurvedic formulation for fever and various liver problems. Chireta has a stimulating effect on the liver and promotes the flow of bile. It contains amarogentin, a glycoside that protects the liver against carbon tetrachloride poisoning.

Andrographis paniculata (Creat) Kalmegh:

Kalmegh is known in India as ‘Maha-tikta’, literally meaning ‘king of bitters’.  The major constituents in Andrographis are diterpene lactones known as andrographolides. These bitter constituents are believed to have immune-stimulating, anti-inflammatory, liver-protective and bile secretion promoting actions. Along with its ability to protect the liver, it also helps liver tissue to regenerate itself. Andrographolide helps to destroy   communication mechanism of viruses and prevents their transmission to other cells by hindering their replication, thus helps in virus induced hepatic disorders. 

Terminalia chebula (Chebulic myrobalan) Haritaki:

It is an effective and safe laxative which helps in removal of toxins from the liver and blood. It expels out intestinal worm and acts as a good hepatoprotective. Haritaki balances Apana Vata and thus helpful in regulating peristaltic movements of intestine. Terminalia detoxifies Liver and opens the micro channels thus maintains normal flow of nutrients in Liver.

Berberis aristata (Indian Barberry) Daruhaldi:

Rasaut is semisolid aqueous extract obtained from Berberis aristata. It is used as hepatic stimulant and cholagouge (stimulates bile flow). It is one of the best remedies for correcting liver function and promoting the flow of bile. It is indicated in inflammation of the gall-bladder and in gall stones. Barberry is also indicated when jaundice causes congestion of liver. As a bitter tonic with mild laxative effects, it is used for weak and debilitated people to strengthen and cleanse the system. It has the ability to reduce an enlarged spleen. It acts against malaria and improves appetite, digestion and assimilation.  

Cichorium intybus (Wild chicory) Kasni: 

Kasni acts as powerful hepatic stimulant and hepatoprotective herb. It cleanses the gall bladder and increases bile secretion. Chicory also acts on liver glycogen and promotes digestion. The decoction of Kasni is used in inflammatory conditions of liver.

Aloe vera (Indian Aloe) Ghritkumari:

Aloe has been used in variety of diseases in Ayurveda and it is especially mentioned for hepatic ailments. Aloe vera is a good anti-inflammatory, hepatoprotective, antibacterial and antiulcerogenic herb. Aloe showed anti-oxidative and hypocholesterol effects in the liver. A prolonged intake of Aloe had superior anti-oxidative action against lipid peroxidation, as indicated by reduced levels of hepatic phosphatidylcholine hydroperoxide. Additional anti-oxidative action was evidenced by enhanced superoxide dismutase (SOD) and catalase activity. The aqueous extract of Aloe vera was found capable of restoring integrity of hepatocytes indicated by improvement in physiological parameters, excretory capacity (BSP retention) of hepatocytes and also by stimulation of bile flow secretion.

Apium graveolans (Celery) Ajamod:

It regulates digestion, improves appetite and reduces abdominal pain and bloating.  Celery also pacifies the spasm in the gastrointestinal tract and removes blocked wind. It is also used as antihelminthic agent in Ayurveda for intestinal worm.

Emblica officinalis (Indian Gooseberry) Amalaki: 

It is a rejuvenating and potent anti-oxidant herb that helps to boost the immune system and to nourish all the tissues.  It increases digestion, assimilation, detoxifies every system in the body, regulates and vitalizes the metabolism. It helps in regeneration of hepatic tissue and increases the hemoglobin level by nourishing Rakta dhatu (blood) and Ranjaka Pitta.  

Trikatu:  

Trikatu is a combination of three spices which includes Ginger, Long Pepper and Black Pepper. It stimulates whole mechanism of digestion and promotes the secretion of digestive juices and increases appetite.  It has thermogenic effect over the body and enhances metabolism and removes the undigested toxic Ama from body. Trikatu is prescribed as an essential part of many multi-herb preparations, as it increases the bioavailability of nutrients, foods and herbs i.e. promotes rapid absorption of nutrients by the gastrointestinal tract and helps assimilate them efficiently.  

Terminalia belerica (Beleric Myrobalan) Vibhitaki: 

It is an essential ingredient of ayurvedic formula Triphala and balances Kapha dosha.   It displays a strong action in preventing fat deposition and thereby prevents fatty infiltration of the liver.  Its antiviral action inhibits the viral growth in liver.

Ferri oxidum (Mandoor Bhasma):

Mandoor is a specially processed natural source of iron which enhances the functioning of liver and spleen by balancing Ranjaka pitta. It nourishes Rakta dhatu (Blood) and also maintains hemoglobin level. It reduces debility due to its regenerative and nourishing property.
